Have a birthday coming up and need a simple, cheap birthday gift? This Have a Popping Birthday printable is perfect!
Birthdays are frequent in our neighborhood and as part of my role in the community, I see the children a lot. I see them at school and church and interact with them frequently so of course when it’s their birthday, one of the best days of the year, I want to celebrate with them and give them a little gift. We also give some of the adults a little gift, too.
The only problem with that though, is when you’re trying to do so many gifts in one year, it’s got to be cost efficient and easy to make. After a lot of thought and looking through Pinterest, I finally came up with a plan but couldn’t find the right printable to go with the birthday gift. So, being the time-efficient person I am, I decided to make one so I didn’t have to keep searching for one.
I first went to my local store and bought a box of unpopped popcorn and wrapping paper. I printed off the “Have A Poppin Birthday” printable and grabbed some tape and went to work.
I wrapped and wrapped and wrapped popcorn into little gifts, cut around the words on the printable, and taped it to the front. I was going to use a ribbon and make it really fancy but when I thought about the fact that all these kids receiving the gift probably didn’t care how cute it looked, I went for quick and simple.
The kids are loving this gift. They love that it is wrapped (usually we don’t wrap the presents) and the parents are loving the little “poppin” humor.
I love how simple this gift is to replicate. I can wrap them quickly and it takes little effort to get a lot of these done at once.
