So often I make excuses as to why I can’t shed the extra weight I’ve gained. But after reading this story about a Dachshund who weighed in at 56 pounds and in less than 2 years, he lost 75% of his body weight, weighing in at 12 pounds, a normal Dachshund weight.

After receiving him from a relative who had fed him human food like burgers and pizza, Brooke Burton began a diet of dry dog food along with lots of walks and affection.
What can be learned from this sweet dog and owner? Food does not equal love. Love equates love and is important to our well-being.
So now I’m going to hop off social media, eat some healthy food, and do a little exercise. I hope you’ll do the same.
