Okay. Let’s just be honest. I clothes shop and live through my daughter. Her clothes are almost always in style while I’m rocking my tank top and skinny jeans all year long from 4 years ago that I only bought because I had to be on television (which is one of those things I stress about months in advance before I even know I’m going to be on television).
I think it’s important to let children make some of their own decisions and honestly, I’m not willing to fight the kids on every single thing anyway so letting them choose their own clothes (under my direction) at the store is something I’m totally willing to do. My daughter is a little fashionista and if I gave her endless amounts of money to buy anything she wanted, well, she would probably have the cutest clothes and wear them in the strangest combinations of any little girl you’ve ever seen. Shopping with her can get really expensive because although she doesn’t entirely understand money and expenses yet, she somehow is really good at choosing some of the most expensive clothes. For example, the last time we went dress shopping, she chose the dresses that were all over $70. She was pretty sad when I told her I’d like her to stay closer to $20. It was a struggle but she finally found an adorable little dress that we were both happy with.
I had been looking for a white coat for a photo session I wanted to do when I ran into this gorgeous white coat with gold buttons. Gold is one of my favorite accent colors right now so when I realized the buttons were gold, I couldn’t pass it up.
We ended up using this coat for a photo shoot in the snow. It was so gorgeous and the white coat worked out well for what I was thinking. But mostly I just really love the gold!
