You know those times that you’re rushing and in the middle of a food photo session and then your dog runs away? Yeah. That was me. Daylight only lasts so long and as much as I don’t mind using artificial light, it’s just not the same in my mind. So the sunlight was leaving, I wanted to take a picture of this easy lemon chicken recipe I had made and my dog ran away.
I’m one of those bad owners that trusts their dog to stay in the yard while the kids are outside playing and I’m like, “Kids, watch Millie. Don’t let her run away.”
“Okay, okay!” the kids promise.
Yet 10 minutes later, guess what?! Millie ran away! Usually she’s really good about staying in our yard unless there’s a suspicious dog lurking about and even worse, a cat. She has no common sense when it comes to cats. We’ve watched her run head first into a bar just to try to get to a cat.
Anyway, it echos in my front yard throughout most of my yard so I have to be careful about yelling. But when your dog runs away and the sun is going down and you just want to take a photo of the food you’ve prepared, well, you might yell like I did. A couple of my neighbors got to enjoy watching me yell at Millie as she came racing back from a house down the street. Millie was so happy until she got close enough to see my face. Then she realized she was in huge trouble and tried sitting about 6 feet away from me instead of right in front of me like she knows she is supposed to do.
But the main reason we’re all here is for this super easy lemon chicken recipe. It’s so good and this is such a quick dish to prepare. I invited 3 other couples over to my house on Saturday and I had planned to make them a salmon recipe but because this is so delicious and fast, I might just make this chicken dish instead.
