Cook 1 pound of macaroni noodles according to box instructions. Set aside.
Melt butter on medium heat and stir in flour. Let cook for 1 minute. Whisk in milk slowly and let cook about 5 minutes until sauce thickens.
Take sauce off of heat and stir in shredded cheese until mixed well.
Combine noodles and sauce in a bowl. Place into a lightly greased pan or oven-safe bowl.
Top with bacon and shredded cheese (or other toppings you think would be delicious). Place in preheated oven at 350°F for 10 minutes. Top with ranch dressing.
